Over the years, I have been blessed to work on some incredible projects, photographing for commercial clients as well as local businesses, entrepreneurs, those looking for creative photography to showcase their services. For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamt of a career that was creative, important, and was filled with incredible memories and adventures. I certainly have achieved those objectives, but what really gets me flowing these days, is producing short-term projects that challenge me and gets me out of my comfort zone; moving from creating a stand-alone image, to creating a series of images that tell a complete story.
Projects such as “Return to CSUN”, which I completed in the summer of 2023, was created to celebrate my 20th year in photography. I created this series to showcase my abilities for CSUN’s marketing team, whom at the time, were searching for a photographer to join their staff. Initially, I wanted to take photographs that showed the campus’ vibrant and eclectic energy; looking to photograph students and faculty from several different departments. But there was one problem. School was on summer break and my deadline was short! 3 days to be exact! Fortunately, being a former Matador myself, I knew a few graduates and current students, so I was able to create a body of work in a short time frame.
I’ve got plans to return and photograph CSUN’s athletes and Matty Matador.
